Abstract in English
This dissertation investigates the performers work in the transition of the face-to-face space to online platforms, a process which has taken place due to the pandemic circumstance. Studies on the performers work have been gaining prominence for encompassing the work of actors, singers, dancers, visual art performers and other artists of the body both in face-to-face settings (show, theater, dance, and performing arts in general) as in mediated contexts. Two case studies are carried out from the observation of live broadcasts undertaken by Filipe Catto and Teresa Cristina on online platforms during the pandemic. The research intends to contribute to the field of studies on the performers work by investigating his performance on online platforms (the cell phone as a creation device, telepresence, performative persona and musicality). The mediated condition of events hitherto based on live presence in shared spaces, amplifies what comes to be the stage and poetics itself are. In the transition from the face-to-face to the new online stage, paradigms of live art are discussed as much as notions of conviviality, presence, live and agency.
