Abstract in English
This paper addresses the vital need for reinvention in Brazil's artistic scene during remote periods, with a special focus on the context of the COVID-19 quarantine. Investigating the challenges and opportunities faced by artistic professionals and institutions, the study highlights the importance of creative adaptation as a fundamental condition for the continuity and subsistence of artistic expression in challenging times. Exploring the intersection between the need to nurture the cultural scene and audiences connected by digital means and the demands imposed by adverse contexts, the work analyzes reinvention strategies adopted by artists and institutions to guarantee the relevance and resilience of the performing arts, in especially theater throughout almost two years of isolation with the closure of creative spaces. The objective is to offer valuable insights for understanding cultural dynamics in critical moments, highlighting resilience and the capacity for renewal as essential elements for the subsistence of the artistic scene in remote periods.
