Abstract in English
This thesis presents a mathematical model for predicting velocity and temperature profiles of polyester molten filaments cooled by a cross air stream, during the spinning. It is assumed a monisothermal cooling process with uniaxial elongation flow and variable physical properties dependente on temperature. The numerical solution is developed including the effects of gravity, inertia and aerodynamic drag forces in the yarn total force, before the solidification. Heat, mass and momentum balances for infinitesimal cells include effects of heating anda ir flow direction. Finally, the yarn deflection is analysed.
