Abstract in English
A study on the response of automatic control valves acted by the working fluid, taking into consideration the hydraulic transient behaviour, is developed. The established elastic model for transient flow in tubes is coupled to a comprehensive model for the dynamic characteristics of control valves set forth in the current literature. The result is parametrized in a convenient way so as to investigate the PID-parameter tunning and to discuss the fessibility of such study. In the sequence, the operating behaviour od control valves in tube/reservoir arrangements is investigated in the physical domain. Comparisons with the parametric analysis are developed. Finishing the present study, an example of hydraulic network is employed to identify the operating behaviour of control valves under more complex input spectra and to provide comparison with the valve-and-duct case.
