Abstract in English
The present work suggests and documents the development of a device for accelerated fatigue testing of heart valve prostheses, applying a load similar to those existing in implanted valves. A mathematical model was developed for evaluations of parameter influence on system dynamic performance. These studies were done via digital simulations, leading to the conclusion that the proposed system was able to reproduce the valves operating conditions. Later, a prototype was built based on the simulation results. This prototype was evaluated by a set of performance tests. The results were compared with those obtained via digital simulation nd it was vrified that the mathematical model shows a good agreement with the equipment. The results of performance tests were also compared with those of mock circulation systems presented by several authors. The analysis shown that the equipment is ready to execute the in vitro fatigue testing of heart valv prósteses and these tests will be done under more severe conditions.
