Title in Portuguese
Metodologia para pesquisas de lixiviação bacteriana.
Keywords in Portuguese
Lixiviação

Abstract in English
Studies on the implantation and adaptation of bacterial leaching methodolog were done. Copper ore from Caraíba Mine was employed in the experiments. Assays were developed on agitated flasks and percolation columns. Bacterial/chemical and pure chemical actions were evaluated by means of inoculated, non-inoculated and with bacterial inhibitor (formaldehyde) experiments. A history of bacterial leaching in Brazil is presented, besides a discussion about the relations between bacterial leaching researching teams and mineral processing industries and mine and metallurgical engineering schools.
