A estabilização do jogo a bordo é fator importante no desempenho dos navios de guerra e mercantes. O trabalho propõe a incorporação de técnicas modernas aos métodos convencionais de projeto de aletas estabilizadoras, procurando maximizar a eficiência desses navios ao longo de sua vida útil, ao invés de em uma específica condição do mar. Todavia, recomenda-se o emprego de sistemas de controle ajustáveis à direção do aproamento em relação às ondas predominantes.

Abstract in English
The roll stabilization on board is an important factor on the performance of naval and merchant ships. The paper proposes the introduction of recent advances in the conventional design of fin stabilizing devices, aiming the maximization of these ships efficiency during their lifetime, instead of at a particular sea condition, However, the use of control systems adjustable to the ships relative heading to the predominant sea waves is recommended.
