Este trabalho tem como objetivo estudar o problema logístico do contêiner vazio de empresas de navegação, delimitando as principais características e propondo um modelo de programação linear, auxiliado por um modelo de previsão de estoque, que tem como resposta o posicionamento ótimo dos contêineres vazios, segundo o menor custo. Para se construir esse modelo foi estudado o caso de uma companhia de navegação e outros modelos que já foram propostos para o problema. Os resultados obtidos foram bons, dentro das hipóteses consideradas, mostrando um programa versátil e útil para o reposicionamento dos contêineres vazios

This paper studies the logistic problem of empty container of a shipping company, considering the main features to create a linear program model, aided by a inventory forecast model, that gives the positioning of the empty containers based on the lower cost. Other models concerning this subject and a shipping company case were used to do this new model. The results were good, considering the hypothesis, showing a useful versatile program to repositioning the empty containers.
