Neste trabalho foi realizada a avaliação de diferentes materiais para a utilização nas janelas automotivas de segurança, sendo eles o vidro laminado, o vidro temperado e o policarbonato. Para esta avaliação testes foram desenvolvidos com intuito de comparar os materiais entre si e verificar quais dentre eles apresentam os melhores resultados em cada teste desenvolvido. Foi realizado teste de resistência ao impacto, teste de dureza superficial, teste de resistência ao risco, teste de transmissão luminosa e teste de resistência a alta temperatura. Depois de realizado os testes foram analisados e comparados os resultados dos materiais envolvidos, verificando as vantagens e desvantagens de cada material para esta determinada aplicação.

This project was performed to evaluate various materials for use on safety glazing while they were laminated glass, toughened glass and polycarbonate. For this assessment tests were developed in order to compare materials with each other and see which among them are the best results in each test developed. A test was made of the impact resistance test, hardness test, scratch resistance, light transmission test and endurance test at high temperature. After performing the tests were analyzed and compared the results of the materials involved, noting the advantages and disadvantages of each material for this particular application.
