Abstract in English
This research aims to investigate the ways of (re)exist in Quixelô indigenous movements and collectives, in order to identify connections and entanglements between the existences of a Quixelô indigenous hinterland, by listening to and transcribing the narratives and experiences of people present in these collectives and movements. The research describes the existences and forces that make up these movements and collectives on the assumption that, even though they start from personal experiences, these movements are carried out in connection with other beings, in networks and collective agencies that support the self-determination of their indianness. The work investigates the hypothesis that the different existences acted out by the narratives contribute to each interlocutor's perception of the meaning of their movement - a meaning that can sometimes be glimpsed in the words (re)existence, rescue or reclaim. The research was carried out using a historical approach, based on oral history methodologies and narratives produced in collaboration with people and collectivities located in and referenced by the territories of the Sertão do Quixelô - or Ribeira dos Quixelô - today located in the municipalities of Quixelô, Iguatu and Acopiara, in the central-southern region of Ceará, and made up of migrant people and families. Together with the interlocutors, we envisioned the possibility of telling stories in which Quixelô existences inhabit past, present and future times, as opposed to the narratives of the past, present and future.
