A presente dissertação propõe analisar a circulação dos conceitos mulher, feminino e feminismo no sistema artístico brasileiro entre os anos de 1960 e 1982, período anterior à disseminação da categoria de gênero no Brasil, fundamental para pensar a arte hoje. Para isso, investigaremos a produção discursiva realizada em textos de crítica de arte e em catálogos de exposições em museus e galerias de arte, consideradas áreas responsáveis pela legitimação e reconhecimento no sistema artístico neste período. Partimos da exposição A Contribuição da Mulher às Artes Plásticas no País, realizada em 1960 no Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo, como parte de um processo de institucionalização de um discurso sobre o modernismo que colocava centralidade na presença das mulheres na história da arte brasileira do século XX, e concluímos com o I Festival Nacional de Mulheres na Arte, em 1982, evento nomeadamente feminista que, em sua programação, compreendeu exposições em importantes museus de São Paulo. Entre esses dois eventos, serão abordadas outras exposições e textos críticos publicados em jornais, catálogos e revistas de São Paulo e do Rio de Janeiro. Nosso objetivo é analisar as relações e proveniências discursivas que configuram tais textos, dimensionar sua circulação e verificar a existência de um debate sobre os temas da mulher, do feminino e do feminismo nos segmentos responsáveis pela legitimação e reconhecimento no sistema artístico brasileiro daquele período

This dissertation aims to analyze the circulation of the concepts woman, feminine and feminism in the Brazilian art system between 1960 and 1982, a period before the dissemination of the category of gender in Brazil, which is fundamental for thinking about art today. To do this, we will investigate the discursive production carried out in texts by art critics and in exhibition catalogs in museums and art galleries, considered to be the areas responsible for legitimization and recognition in the art system during this period. We'll start with the exhibition A Contribuição da Mulher às Artes Plásticas no País, held in 1960 at the Museum of Modern Art in São Paulo, as part of a process of institutionalizing a discourse on modernism that centralized the presence of women in the history of 20th century Brazilian art, and we concluded with the I Festival Nacional de Mulheres na Arte, in 1982, a feminist event that included exhibitions in important museums in São Paulo. Between these two events, we will look at other exhibitions and critical texts published in newspapers, catalogs and magazines in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Our aim is to analyze the discursive relationships and origins that shape these texts, measure their circulation and verify the existence of a debate on the themes of women, the feminine and feminism in the segments responsible for legitimization and recognition in the Brazilian art system of that period.
