Abstract in Portuguese
Estudamos o efeito de correntes helicoidais internas resultantes de modos tearing sobre a estrutura magnetica de plasmas toroidais em equilibrio. Estas correntes sao consideradas sobre uma superficie magnetica racional e ao longo das linhas do campo magnetico de equilibrio. Sobre as superficies racionais surgem ilhas magneticas devido ao campo perturbativo. As ilhas magneticas sao visualizadas por dois metodos: pelo mapa de poincare das linhas de campo magnetico e pela superficie magnetica aproximada, calculada por um metodo da media. Este metodo da media foi desenvolvido para determinar a estrutura das superficies magneticas de um sistema cuja simetria e destruida por uma pequena perturbacao. Consideramos dois tipos de tokamaks: tokamak de razao de aspecto grande e tokamak de razao de aspecto pequena.

Abstract in English
We study the effect of helical currents on the magnetic structure of toroidal plasmas in equilibrium. These currents are considered on a rational magnetic surface along unperturbed magnetic field lines. The symmetry is broken by the helical perturbation and magnetic islands arise at every rational surface. The structure of magnetic island is obtained by two methods: numerical integration of magnetic field lines and an averaging method. This averaging method has been developed to determine the magnetic structure of a system with symmetry broken by small perturbations. Two kinds of tokamaks are considered: large aspect ratio tokamak and small aspect ratio tokamak.
