Abstract in English
A time-dependent projection technique is used to treat the initial value problem in quantum field theory. On the basis of the general dynamics of the field, we derive equations of kinetic type for a restricted set of dynamical variables. A mean-field expansion can be written for these equations which is numerically tractable in the few lower orders. The lowest order corresponds to the mean-field approximation and higher orders add dynamic correlation effects. This procedure is applied to fi POT. 4 theory in 1 + 1 dimensions, including numerical solution for the case of a spatially uniform system.
