Abstract in English
In this thesis we present some aspects of anisotropic gravity theories. We introduce the Lifshitz symmetry, which produces an anisotropy between space and time and show how this anisotropy improves the high energy behavior of theories when compared with their relativistic counterparts. We also show the mechanism that ensures anisotropic theories can be effectively relativistic at low energies. We build the anisotropic gravity theory (HL theory) and discuss some of its versions. We show the major physical consequences of projectable version of HL theory, as spherically symmetric solutions and cosmology. We point out to the appearance of an extra degree of freedom in HL theory when compared to General Relativity, the scalar graviton, and discuss the issues it presents. We present the proposal of Horava and Melby-Thompson of co variant anisotropic gravity, which is scalar graviton free. Subsequently, we show our proposal of a minimal coupling formalism, which generalizes the Horava and Melby-Thompsons procedure and leads to possible couplings between gravity and matter. Open issues are pointed out and discussed.
