Abstract in English
The São Francisco repakivi granitic massif (MGRSF) intrudes metassedimentary rocks of São Roque Group. The pluton presentes na approximately elipsoidal shape and it is limited by high-angle shear zones (Moreiras to the north and Pirapora to the South). It is composed by five faciologies: SF1 - fine-grained biotite-hornblende-quartz monzonite; SF2 - fine to medium grained biotite-porfiroid granite; SF3 - coarsed biotite-porfiroid granite (pyterlitic); SF4 - coarsed biotite porfiritic granite (pyterlitic to wiborgitic) and SF5, fine equigranular granite dikes. The mineral chemistry studies provided the characterization of the mineral components of the MGRSF: felsic minerals - alkaline feldspar with composition 'Or IND. 56-74', with increase of K content from the core to the rim, and decrease of Al, Na and Ba; matrix plagioclase and megacrystals with albitic composition in the core and oligoclase composition in the rim, and rapakivi ovoids mantle with oligoclase composition; mafic minerals - fluorapatite, with anomalous high fluor content (between 4.9 and 6.1 %), zircon, ilmenite and hematite. The chemical analysis of biotite provided the separation of two groups, based on Al2O3 and MgO content: magmatic biotites (BM), preserving the primary chemical composition and, probably reflecting the magmatic conditions, implying this way, the evolution of the liquid composition; and secondary biotites (BA), showing alteration and departure of the original chemical composition, due to the action of a fluid phase that provoked a reequilibrium in a tardi to post-magmatic period. The magmatic biotites exhibits good linear correlations in several Harker diagrams: R2+ versus R3+, with 'Al POT. IV', clitonite, talc and Ti versus 'Al POT. IV' + Cr + 'Fe POT. 2+' + Mg + Mn. The secondary biotites are characterized by the following substitutions: R2+ versus R3+, Si versus SV, Ti versus 'Al POT. IV' and talc. In this discriminative diagrams of magmatic series, based on the biotite chemistry, the samples from MGRSF fall preferentially in the field of subalkaline and alkaline associations. The geobarometric study based on the chemical analysis of the MGRSF amphiboles, allows the consideration of pressures between 0.8 and 1.8 Kb, reflecting pressures conditions during the tardi to post magmatic period, time that the circulation and fluids promoted reequilibrium reactions of the minerals, notably biotites. The MGRSF is characterized as a rapakivi in this work. The rapakivi texture in the MGRSF, is interpreted as magmatic, due to the following textural and chemical features: a) absence of alkaline feldspar in the matrix mantle by oligoclase; b) identical compositions between the rims of plagioclase of the matrix and plagioclase that composes the ovoid mantles of the alkaline feldspar; c) presence of primary chemical composition of the biotites in the wiborgitic samples, suggesting that the metasomatic/hidrothermal alteration processes were absent or at least relatively less important in this samples. The coexistence of rapakivi textures and orto to mesocumulatic features, suggest that the mechanical accumulation processes of alkaline feldspar in initial magmatic stages shoukd be related to the formation of rapakivi textures.
