Abstract in English
From 2.0 to 1.88 Ga the southern portion of the Amazon Craton, more precisely the Tapajós Mineral Province (TMP), was affected by an expressive magmatism of calc-alkaline affinity and important metallogenetic relevance. According to the classic model this magmatism is the result of the orogenic events that took place between 2.10 and 1.87 Ga which are responsible for the tectonic coalescence of the Tapajós-Parima and the Central Amazonian tectonic provinces, resulting on the formation of the Cuiú-Cuiú, Creporizão, Tropas and Parauari magmatic arcs. An alternative model suggests the existence of archean basement rocks for the magmatic arc whose formation would be related to an unique tectonic regime, varying from slightly compressive to slightly extensive. The metallogenetic importance of this magmatism is evident on the interval of 1.97-1.88 Ga, on which many mineral occurrences of magmatic-hydrothermal affinity have been recognized, with emphasis on high-sulfidation epithermal systems related to the volcanic rocks of the Uatumã event, low-sulfidation epithermal systems with adularia and porphyry (Cu-Mo-Au) deposits. The Patrocínio Village, located on the central portion of the TMP, is inserted on this context. The area is dominated by syeno- and monzogranites with subordinated monzonites, syenites, porphyry and granodiorites. Geochemical characteristics indicate similar evolutionary trends for the granodiorites, granites, monzonites and porphyry, all compatible with syn-collisional magmatism. The syenites, however, present a distinct evolutionary pattern, indicating late- to post-collisional settings. The geochronology data show that the granodiorites, 1994,3 ±8,8 Ma, are the country rocks on the region and its high magnetism and primary mineralogy, with biotite and amphibole, suggests fO2 and water contents compatible with magmatic arc rocks. The ''épsilon' IND.Nd(T)' values of -8,43 and 'T IND.DM' model ages of 2952 Ma indicates the presence of archean basement rocks on the TMP. The porphyritic monzonites, 1970,4 ±7,7 Ma, are characterized by the intense hydrothermal alteration (with formation of chlorite, sericite and carbonate) and by the mineral assemblage pyrrhotite-pyrite ±gold, suggesting reduced environment with fO2 'OU=' FMQ+2), pointing towards a change on the geochemical characteristic of the fluids. The syenites, of 1954,9 ±4,2 Ma, mark this change and attests to the maturity of the magmatic arc. The consolidation of the results are suggestive of the existence of, primarily, a reduced porphyry system genetically related to the monzonites, reinforcing the genetic regional model of arc-related magmatic-hydrothermal systems on the TMP. Arc evolution and maturity are evidenced by geochemical, petrological and metallogenetic changes on the magmatism, that migrates toward late- to post-tectonic environments.
