Abstract in English
In this thesis, we present the results obtained from the study of four lines of investigation related to functions defined on associative and non-associative algebraic structures. The first is devoted to describing certain additive functions satisfying specific identities in non-associative structures, such as alternative rings or algebras. In particular, with the aid of a version of Huas identity for alternative division rings, we establish a version of Artin's Theorem for this class of rings, proving that every additive and bijective function φ : A</span> → A</span> satisfying certain conditions is either an automorphism or an anti-automorphism. In the second part, we focus on the analysis of functions on the algebra of octonions, establishing an analogue of Huas Theorem for this algebra. Specifically, as a main result, we prove that any continuous, bijective, and unitary linear function φ : 𝕆 → 𝕆 which preserves generalized *-invertibility and satisfies a technical condition is a *-isomorphism or a *-anti-isomorphism. Furthermore, the third part deals with the study of the characterization of certain maps that satisfy the so-called linear preserver problem under additional algebraic structures, such as generalized invertibility. We also examine this problem in the context of the octonion algebra. Finally, the last part consists of analyzing the additivity of derivations and isomorphisms in axial algebras. In other words, we determine under which conditions a multiplicative derivation or a multiplicative isomorphism is additive in such algebras. We focus mainly on two types of axial algebras: Jordan-type algebras J(α); and Monster-type algebras M(α, β), establishing our results with the aid of conditions known as Martindale-type conditions.
