Este trabalho dedica-se ao estudo de diferentes tecnicas multinivel para pre-condicionamento dos metodos de gradientes conjugados, quando aplicados na resolucao de equacoes elipticas de segunda ordem em conjunto com o metodo dos elementos finitos. Apresentamos consideracoes sobre as tecnicas mais recentes, priorizando o metodo das bases hierarquicas e a tecnica bpx, e descrevemos como tais metodos podem ser combinados com as tecnicas de decomposicao de dominios, obtendo-se metodos muito eficientes e com alto grau de paralelismo. A performance dos pre-condicionadores bases hierarquicas e bpx e exemplificada atraves de experimentos numericos, os quais confirmam sua grande eficiencia
