Abstract in English
In medical research it is common to consider clinical trials related to comparing two groups, one is the control group and the other the treatment group. The individuals participating in such study are assigned at random to the control or treatment groups. It is also common the situations where two measurements are obtained from each subject, one priori to treatment and the other after to treatment. However, there are situations where it is not possible to work with a control group so that it is necessary to consider an approach that can be used to evaluate the effect of the treatment in the absence of the control group. The main object of this dissertation is to present an approach that can be used in such cases and to compare three different estimation approaches to estimate the model parameters
