Pereira e Stern [1999] apresentaram um procedimento para testar hipóteses precisas, que baseia-se no cálculo da probabilidade posterior da região HPD (Highest Posterior Density) tangente ao conjunto que define a hipótese nula. Este procedimento foi apresentado como uma alternativa aos testes de significância usuais e denominado de FBST (Full Bayesian Significance Test). No presente trabalho, estudamos as propriedades estatísticas deste procedimento, obtemos resultados para alguns problemas clássicos de testes de hipótese precisa e comparamos com os resultados de testes de significância alternativos, descritos na literatura. Apresentamos, também, uma formalização deste procedimento dentro do cenário da Teoria da Decisão, definindo funções de perda que tornam o FBST um procedimento Bayesiano
