Abstract in English
We present in this work the state of the art on the representation of typicality in description log- ics, summing up their different properties and analyzing their relative strengths and weaknesses as systems that represent typical knowledge. We also provide a different perspective on what is missing in terms of a generic system to reason about typicality and offer a possible extension to be developed in order to achieve this ideally generic system. We propose the addition of an opera- tor of typicality inclusion to deal with inheritance of typical properties in case of atypical elements.
