Este estudo visa conhecer como psicoterapeutas junguianos lidam com temas relacionados ao suicídio entre adolescentes e jovens que buscam psicoterapia no campo da psicologia analítica, escola fundada no início do século XX pelo psiquiatra suíço-alemão C.G. Jung (1875-1961). Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa realizada à luz desta teoria e das ideias de James Hillman, que propôs uma abordagem arquetípica do fenômeno. A coleta de dados se deu por meio de uma pesquisa-ação com um grupo de 8 psicoterapeutas em 6 encontros, incluindo recursos expressivos em dois deles (desenhos individuais e pintura coletiva) para facilitar a livre expressão de ideias e emoções. A análise considerou a transcrição das gravações dos diálogos do grupo e o conteúdo imagético das produções expressivas. Foram identificados quatro eixos temáticos transversais, além de subcategorias formadas por núcleos de sentido mais significativos para as hipóteses e objetivos do estudo. Foi observada a falta de fundamentação teórica específica para o manejo do suicídio, que se mantém orientado por parâmetros gerais da psicoterapia junguiana. Os terapeutas apresentaram uma visão crítica da medicalização do suicídio, preponderando certa animosidade na avaliação dos conflitos vividos na interdisciplinaridade com psiquiatras. Transpareceu nos encontros do grupo indisponibilidade para lidar com essa tensão de modo prospectivo, indicando sentimentos de inferioridade e rivalidade diante do poder institucionalizado do ato médico. A influência do tabu do suicídio foi reconhecida pelos terapeutas no percurso educacional e de formação analítica, com sentimentos de inadequação e desamparo, o que reforça a necessidade da inclusão do tema suicídio na graduação, pós-graduação (aprimoramento, especialização lato sensu), e nos cursos de formação de psicoterapeutas e analistas junguianos. A inclusão dos estudos do suicídio por instituições pode diminuir o peso da individualização dos esforços do psicoterapeuta para lidar com o fenômeno em sua prática, que constitui importante fator de estresse especialmente no cenário pós-pandêmico. Essa iniciativa institucional permitiria aproximar a psicologia analítica da universidade e dos serviços e políticas de saúde pública, de modo a desassociá-la do contexto exclusivamente clínico, e ampliar sua contribuição social frente aos desafios do país, considerando suas particularidades teóricas e metodológicas, a exemplo do legado deixado por Nise da Silveira pouco incluído nas práticas dos participantes da pesquisa. Tal aproximação pode redundar em maior integração dos profissionais junguianos, especialmente em termos interdisciplinares campo de fortes ambiguidades e tensões , além de fomentar mais pesquisas sobre o tema. Considerando o objetivo principal deste estudo, o grupo serviu para acolhimento, reflexão e confrontos de dificuldades, relativizando padrões idealizados da identidade profissional, permitindo a integração de alguns aspectos sombrios e confirmando a contribuição desta pesquisa-ação em seus termos teórico-metodológicos. Além de interlocuções e debates, são sugeridos simpósios e grupos de estudos e de acolhimento voltados à compreensão teórica e ao manejo do suicídio em termos transdisciplinares, para aprimorar a abordagem junguiana e preservar a saúde mental dos psicoterapeutas, junto à análise pessoal e à supervisão.

This study aims to understand how Jungian psychotherapists deal with issues related to suicide among adolescents and young adults who seek psychotherapy in the field of analytical psychology, a school founded at the beginning of the 20th century by the Swiss-German psychiatrist CG Jung (1875-1961). This is qualitative research carried out in the light of this theory and the ideas of James Hillman, who proposed an archetypal approach to the phenomenon. Data collection took place through action research with a group of 8 psychotherapists in 6 meetings, including artistic activities (individual drawings and collective paintings) to facilitate the free expression of ideas and emotions. The analysis considered the transcription of the recordings of the groups dialogues and the imagery content of the expressive productions. Four transversal thematic axes were identified, with subcategories formed by more significant nuclei of meaning for the hypotheses and objectives of the study. The lack of theoretical foundation was observed specific to the management of suicide, which remains guided by general parameters of Jungian psychotherapy. The therapists presented a critical view of the medicalization of suicide, prevailing a certain animosity in the evaluation of the conflicts experienced with psychiatrists. It was observed in the group meetings a certain unavailability to deal with this tension prospectively, indicating feelings of inferiority and rivalry towards the institutionalized power of the medical act. An influence of the taboo related to suicide was recognized by therapists in their educational and training processes, also an assumed fragility in training, with feelings of inadequacy and helplessness, what reinforces the need to include the theme of suicide in graduate and post-graduate courses, and in training courses for psychotherapists and Jungian analysts. An inclusion of studies about the issue of the suicide by institutions can lessen the burden of the individualization of the psychotherapists efforts to deal with the phenomenon in their practice, which is an important stress factor especially in the post-pandemic scenario. Such institutional initiative would promote a further approximation between the analytical psychology and the university and public health services and policies, in order to disassociate it from the exclusively clinical context and expand its social contribution in the face of the countrys challenges, considering its theoretical and methodological particularities, such as the legacy left by Nise da Silveira. Such an approximation may result in greater integration of Jungian professionals, especially in interdisciplinary terms a field of strong ambiguities and tensions as well as it may encourage further researches on the subject. Considering the main objective of this study, the group served to welcome, reflect and confront difficulties, relativizing idealized standards of professional identity, allowing the integration of some shadow aspects and confirming the contribution of this action-research in its theoretical-methodological terms. In addition to meetings and debates, symposiums, study and support groups are suggested, focused on the theoretical understanding and management of suicide in transdisciplinary terms, to improve Jungian approach and preserve the mental health of psychotherapists, besides personal analysis and supervision.
