A temática do presente trabalho é o estudo de possibilidades de desdobramento da obra teórica e das contribuições de George Herbert Mead acerca de um tema em que ele próprio não se aprofundou (mesmo sob outras denominações) as rupturas intersubjetivas. Preliminarmente, localizamos a ruptura intersubjetiva como um rompimento conceitual, que se dá a partir de uma quebra na experiência cotidiana e ordinária. Segundo Simão (2003), a ruptura seria uma "experiência inquietante" em que, fundamentalmente, haveria um acontecimento que romperia com as expectativas que se tem para certo evento, fazendo com que o sujeito se dispusesse a ressignificar a si e à realidade que o cerca. A partir daí discute-se as proposições de Mead sobre a origem da Persona (ou self) fundamentadas no gesto, que possibilitam, por um lado, enfocar o desenvolvimento ontogenético da ruptura desde suas primordiais aparições - no âmbito do gesto e do afeto, e por outro, a conceber as rupturas tanto em seu aspecto individual (o EU) como social (MIM). O caso empírico discutido se dá no contexto de uma cooperativa popular, pois esta, para viabilizar-se, exige uma ruptura com os valores e a perspectiva capitalista do mundo para concebê-lo segundo a versão da economia solidária

This work presents a study about the possibilities of development of the theoretical work and the contributions left by George Herbert Mead, concerning a theme in which he did not make a deeper study (even under other names) the intersubjective ruptures. Firstly, the intersubjective rupture is characterized as a conceptual break which occurs after a break in the daily and ordinary experience. In accordance with Simão (2003), the rupture is a desquiet experience in which occurs something that breaks the expectations in respect to some event, what makes the subject thinks about his meaning for himself and for the reality that surrounds him. This point starts a discussion about the studies of Mead concerning the origin of the Self explained by the gesture, what makes possible, on one side, the focalization of the ontogenetics development of the rupture since its primordial manifestations - on the gesture and the fellowship, and on the other side, the comprehension of the ruptures even in their individual (I) as social (me) aspects. The empirical case object of this work is a popular cooperative. To build a popular cooperative there shall be a rupture with the values and perspectives of the capitalist world, according to the solidarity economics
