Se a experiência estética se dá a partir do encontro de duas configuraçõesa configuração formal do objeto e a configuração subjetiva da pessoa que a percebe, a arte torna-se lugar privilegiado dessa experiência quando há uma obra de arte e um indivíduo disposto a se relacionar com ela. Esta tese pretende então investigar momentos das culturas japonesas em que a experiência estética pode atuar a partir de configurações formais que não se definem como obra de arte, já que esta não é uma exigência para que ocorra a experiência estética. O fato de que, após o contato com o conceito de obra de arte europeu, diversos objetos e elementos das expressões japonesas passaram a ser retroativamente considerados artísticos comprova o valor estético dos objetos mesmo que originalmente não inseridos dentro da instituição arte. Metodologicamente, a tese se pauta pelo estilo ensaístico (exame atento) assim como em Adorno, e no diálogo convergente com o estilo zuihitsu, no âmbito das investigações sobre autoformação. Os conceitos de kata, mitate e d são analisados, assim como alguns momentos de manifestações japonesas afins à arte, para que possam auxiliar na compreensão da experiência estética a partir de práticas cotidianas e também das problemáticas e potencialidades que possam surgir daí. If the aesthetic experience occurs from the meeting of two configurationsthe formal configuration of the object and the subjective configuration of the person who perceives it, art becomes a privileged place of this ex- perience when there is a work of art and an individual willing to relate to it. This thesis intends to investigate moments of Japanese cultures in which aesthetic experience can act from formal configurations that are not defined as a work of art, since this is not a requirement for the aesthetic experience to occur. The fact that, after the contact with the European concept of work of art, several objects and elements of Japanese expressions started to be retroactively considered artistic proves the aesthetic value of the objects even if they were not originally inserted within the institution art. Methodologically, the thesis is guided by the essay style (attentive examination) as used by Adorno, and in the convergent dialogue with the zuihitsu style, within the scope of investigations on self-formation. The concepts of kata, mitate and d are analyzed, as well as some moments of Japanese manifestations related to art, so that they can assist in the understanding of the aesthetic experience from daily practices and also the problems and potentialities that may arise from there.
