Nessa dissertação, o objetivo foi elaborar e validar o conteúdo de um questionário para avaliação das atitudes e práticas nas consultas de puericultura sobre o reconhecimento do sobrepeso e obesidade bem como seus fatores de risco e barreiras encontradas por pediatras e médicos de família para abordarem esse tema. Para elaboração do instrumento foram realizadas 2 fases no processo metodológico: revisão na literatura para elaboração dos itens do instrumento e posterior validação de seus itens pelos juízes. Foi utilizada a técnica de Delphi, com o objetivo de alcançar um consenso sobre um determinado assunto, através da opinião dos especialistas. Foi mensurado o Índice de Validade de Conteúdo por item, por eixo e do questionário geral. A concordância entre os avaliadores foi calculada utilizando coeficiente de concordância adequado à distribuição de respostas, tal como o AC2 de Gwet com ponderação ordinal. Foram convidados 63 juízes para avaliar e opinar sobre o questionário. Cinquenta e dois aceitaram o convite e analisaram o instrumento. Após 2 rodadas, o questionário foi finalizado por atingir o índice de validação de conteúdo adequado para o presente estudo. O questionário final terminou com 40 questões e o índice de validação final do questionário atingiu 95%. O índice de concordância geral entre os juízes foi de 0,905. Este instrumento construído obteve o IVC maior que 0,8 e excelente índice de concordância dos 52 juízes podendo ser considerado validado. Portanto, o instrumento poderá ser útil para identificar os aspectos que necessitam ser melhorados no que se refere à abordagem, diagnóstico e prevenção do excesso de peso nas consultas de atenção básica à saúde

The objective of this thesis was to prepare and validate the content of a questionnaire to assess the decisions and practices performed in childcare appointments regarding the knowledge of pediatricians and family doctors on overweight and obesity and their risk factors, as well as the obstacles found in addressing the issue. For the preparation of the instrument, the methodological process had two steps: A review of the literature for the preparation of the instrument items and subsequent validation of the items by the experts. The Delphi technique was used, with the objective of reaching a consensus on a certain subject, through experts opinions. Each item, axis, and the questionnaire as a whole had its Content Validity Index measured. The inter-rater reliability was calculated using an agreement coefficient suitable for the answer distribution, such as Gwet's AC2 with ordinal weight. A total of 63 experts were invited to assess and give their opinion on the questionnaire. Fifty-two accepted the invitation and analyzed the instrument. After two rounds, the questionnaire reached the proper content validity index for the study and was considered complete, with its final version having 40 questions, a final validation index of 95%, and inter-rater reliability of 0.905. The finished instrument obtained a CVI over 0.8 and an excellent inter-rater reliability coefficient among the 52 experts, therefore, it can be considered validated. The instrument can be useful to identify aspects that need to be improved regarding the approach, diagnosis, and prevention of overweight in primary health care appointments
