The current and worrying scenario of social vulnerability and its impact on the mental health of young people being followed up at a CAPS IJ has been the subject of debates and studies by policy makers/managers, health professionals and researchers. Professional practice in monitoring youth with psychosocial suffering in a CAPS IJ is a mobilizer for the study of their social, educational and cultural trajectories, and their access to social policies, from their point of view, affirming the maxim nothing about them, without them. The objective of the research was to study everyday life, the territories of life and access to rights of young people in institutional care who follow up in CAPS IJ. This investigation is qualitative participatory research, using the photovoice method, associated with moving interviews with the participants through their living territories. The research included the participation of four youth between 14 and 18 years old who follow up at CAPS IJ and who were or have been receiving institutional care in shelters in the city of Campinas-SP. The research was divided into three phases: identification of participants, invitation, and obtaining their consent and assent; moving interviews and taking photos, selecting and narrating; and reflective thematic analysis of the image material and the records of the researcher's field diary. The analysis of the material resulted in the construction of the following thematic categories: (1) Family experiences, housing and institutional care: cross-cutting impacts on the lives of young people, (2) Being young: meaningful actions, social circulation and the construction of existence and (3) Building tomorrow. The study made it possible to get to know the participants based on their strengths and perspectives of life and how they see themselves as subjects. Autonomy and social circulation emerged as important components of their daily lives. The research showed that the use of the photovoice method and moving interviews in the territories of existence are participatory and emancipatory tools that can be used in research and psychosocial intervention contexts. By combining photography, walking in the territory and personal narratives, the participants were able to express their experiences, perceptions and realities through images and stories told by them. Therefore, this combination was an effective resource for understanding the dynamics of the territories where young people live, their support networks, the challenges they face and fostered individual empowerment, as they were able to recognize themselves as active agents of change. The study showed that actions to strengthen social support networks can promote spaces for resignification, enabling young people to establish relationships of reciprocity and trust. As this is a professional master's degree, a catalog of the imagery and narrative productions produced by the research participants was created as a technical-technological product, articulated with reflections by the researcher, entitled Trajectories in movement: images and narratives of young people in the territories of life. It is aimed at students, professionals in health, social assistance, education, art and culture and, interested youth and adults, offering a polyocular vision of the possibilities of existing in the world.
