Abstract in English
In this work, two-phase viscoelastic flows are simulated with the VOF technique, in the HIG-FLOW/HIG-TREE systems, still under development at the ICMC, for simulating flows in complex domains (composed of Cartesian blocks), in hierarchical meshes. The classic Oldroyd-B model is used to model viscoelasticity, incorporating the two-phase module to the HIG-FLOW system. A series of numerical tests is performed and, finally, results of simulations involving bubbles are presented, comparing them with those present in the literature.
