Abstract in English
The objective of this work is to highlight the use of recreational activities in the teaching of mathematics contributing to studies on the importance of their regular practice, especially the use of games. It is considerable the number of students facing difficulty with the discipline of mathematics, causing low performance in evaluations. We will follow three classes of the 9th year of elementary school of a public school in the city of São Carlos (SP), throughout the school year 2018, we collect data about their expectations, aspirations and fears. We planned recreational activities that would meet both the school curriculum and the students wishes. We describe all activities performed in the classroom as well as the effect produced in external evaluations. We question in this dissertation the fact that the games alone do not produce an expected result if there is no emotional impact on the student.
