Abstract in English
Due to their strong absorption in the visible region, porphyrins and related derivatives (chlorins and bacteriochlorins) are very important in photodynamic therapy (PDT) for the treatment of neoplasic diseases. In this work were synthesized the novel and strategically functionalizated vinyl-porphyrins 47 and 48, followed by systematic Diels-Alder reactions with activated dienophiles to obtain chlorins and/or bacteriochlorins, potentially useful on PDT.
