Pesquisadores interessados na área do adolescente em conflito com a lei têm concentrado seus estudos na compreensão aprofundada dos complexos mecanismos subjacentes às relações entre variáveis associadas a diferentes padrões e trajetórias da conduta infracional. No Brasil há avanços no desenvolvimento do conhecimento acadêmico, mas muitas lacunas ainda a serem preenchidas. Em termos de legislação, o pioneirismo do Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente ainda carece de consolidação como prática no atendimento ao adolescente em conflito com a lei. O presente trabalho justifica-se pela necessidade de desenvolvimento de instrumentos padronizados de avaliação ajustados à realidade dos adolescentes brasileiros. Tem como objetivo a identificação e definição de parâmetros para o desenvolvimento dessa proposta, cuja finalidade é fornecer informações cientificamente relevantes para fundamentar a decisão sobre a necessidade ou não de aplicação de medidas socioeducativas e oferecer diretrizes para a intervenção. Utilizando os referenciais das teorias da Regulação Social e Pessoal da Conduta Delituosa e da Psicologia da Conduta Criminal, o trabalho buscou incialmente identificar padrões distintos de conduta infracional entre os adolescentes avaliados e, posteriormente identificar fatores de risco e proteção associados a esses diferentes padrões de conduta. Foram avaliados 158 adolescentes do sexo masculino (12 a 19 anos), cumprindo medidas socioeducativas em duas regiões geopolíticas do Brasil. Foram consideradas as variáveis sociodemográficas, histórico de vida e de comportamento infracional, avaliadas por entrevistas semiestruturadas e os seguintes instrumentos: Questionário de Classificação Econômica Brasil, ASSIST para triagem de drogas, SRQ 20 para triagem de saúde mental, questionário de regulação emocional (ERQ), escala de dificuldades de regulação emocional (DERS) e Escala de Apoio Social. Os resultados nos instrumentos foram sistematizados conforme respectivos padrões técnicos e submetidos a análises estatísticas descritivas e inferenciais, além das análises de classes latentes e de regressão logística multinomial. Serviram para caracterizar padrões de resposta dos adolescentes avaliados em termos de indicadores de conduta infracional e possíveis agrupamentos (níveis de engajamento infracional), bem como respectivos fatores de risco. Os achados empíricos mostraram que os indicadores utilizados na avaliação dos voluntários foram efetivos na identificação de quatro agrupamentos (classes) de adolescentes, com diferentes níveis de gravidade de engajamento infracional. A identificação dos fatores de risco associados a cada uma dessas classes confirmou pressupostos centrais da Psicologia da Conduta Criminal, na medida em que as dimensões de risco ampliaram o nível de gravidade do engajamento infracional dos adolescentes. Os resultados viabilizaram a definição de parâmetros para a avaliação psicossocial de adolescentes que chegam ao Sistema de Justiça Juvenil do Brasil, conforme delineado no objetivo inicial. Enfatiza-se a relevância dessas informações sistematizadas para definição de medidas socioeducativas e formulação de planos de intervenção condizentes com as necessidades específicas dos adolescentes. Adicionalmente são abordadas as limitações inerentes ao trabalho, ressaltando-se a importância de futuras pesquisas aprofundadas sobre o tema.

Researchers interested in the field of adolescents in conflict with the law have focused their studies on gaining a deep understanding of the complex mechanisms underlying the relationships between variables associated with different patterns and trajectories of offender behavior. In Brazil, there have been advancements in the development of academic knowledge, but many gaps still need to be filled. In terms of legislation, the pioneering Statute of the Child and Adolescent still lacks consolidation as a practice in dealing with adolescents in conflict with the law. This work is justified by the need to develop standardized assessment tools adjusted to the reality of Brazilian adolescents. Its objective is to identify and define parameters for the development of this proposal, aimed at providing scientifically relevant information to support the decision on the need for the application of socio-educational measures and to offer guidelines for intervention. Using the frameworks of Social and Personal Regulation of Delinquent Conduct theories and the Psychology of Criminal Conduct, the study initially sought to identify distinct patterns of offender behavior among evaluated adolescents and subsequently identify risk and protective factors associated with these different patterns of conduct. A total of 158 male adolescents (12 to 19 years old), undergoing socio-educational measures in two geopolitical regions of Brazil, were evaluated. Sociodemographic variables, life and offender behavior history were considered, assessed through semi-structured interviews, and the following instruments: Brazil Economic Classification Questionnaire, ASSIST for drug screening, SRQ 20 for mental health screening, Emotional Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), Difficulties Emotional Regulation Scale (DERS), and Social Support Scale. The results in the instruments were systematized according to their respective technical standards and subjected to descriptive and inferential statistical analyses, as well as latent class and multinomial logistic regression analyses. They served to characterize response patterns of evaluated adolescents in terms of offender behavior indicators and possible groupings (levels of offender engagement), as well as respective risk factors. Empirical findings showed that the indicators used in the assessment of volunteers were effective in identifying four groups (classes) of adolescents with different levels of severity of delinquent engagement. The identification of risk factors associated with each of these classes confirmed central assumptions of the Psychology of Criminal Conduct, as risk dimensions increased the severity level of adolescent delinquent engagement. The results enabled the definition of parameters for the psychosocial assessment of adolescents entering the Juvenile Justice System in Brazil, as outlined in the initial objective. The relevance of this systematized information for defining socio-educational measures and formulating intervention plans consistent with the specific needs of adolescents is emphasized. Additionally, the inherent limitation of the work are addressed, highlighting the importance of future in-depth research on the subject.
