Introdução As pessoas podem migrar por diversos motivos, mas mudanças no meio físico, conflitos bélicos e violação dos direitos humanos levam a uma migração involuntária: o Refúgio, que significa procurar proteção à vida. Estudar as relações de saúde nas sociedades que acolhem pessoas refugiadas, bem como a saúde mesma dessa população, faz-se relevante e pertinente. Em São Paulo, o Serviço Social do Comércio (SESC), a Associação Cáritas Arquidiocesana de São Paulo (CASP) e o Alto Comissariado das Nações Unidas para Refugiados (ACNUR) têm parceria em um projeto para proteção de refugiados. Entre outros serviços, essa parceira viabiliza o atendimento odontológico de refugiados nas unidades do SESC. Objetivo Buscou identificar de que maneira, no cotidiano, os refugiados exilados no município de São Paulo demonstram e relatam suas práticas de cuidado com seus corpos e sua saúde. Metodologia Abordagem qualitativa, realizada no curso de língua portuguesa para refugiados no SESC, com observações, entrevistas e exame da cavidade bucal. Para análise dos dados utilizou-se a perspectiva do cotidiano através de análise de conteúdo temático dos dados. Resultados 11 refugiados compuseram a amostra: 4 do Congo, 2 da Nigéria, 1 da Guiné Conacri, Senegal, Togo, Líbia e Síria. Quanto ao seu cotidiano, alguns colocaram dificuldades e outros, facilidades na retomada da rotina. Dentro de temas surgiram as categorias: saúde e doença e seus significados; percepção de saúde-doença; práticas de cuidados com o corpo e com a saúde; práticas de cuidados com a boca. No exame odontológico ocorreu baixa prevalência de cárie e a presença de gengivite em todos os sujeitos. Conclusões Ao identificar os relatos e as atitudes dos solicitantes de refúgio no processo saúde-doença e cuidados com o corpo, nos aproximamos das realidades desses sujeitos, apreendendo a tratar e atender suas demandas por saúde à luz do seu cotidiano e das suas diversidades culturais.

Introduction People can migrate for various reasons, but changes in the physical environment, wars and human rights violations lead to involuntary migration: the Refuge, which means seeking protection of life. Study links health in societies that welcome refugees, as well as the health of this same population, it is relevant and pertinent. In São Paulo, the Social Service of Commerce (SESC), the Association Caritas Archdiocese of São Paulo (CASP) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) have partnered on a project for the protection of refugees. Among other services, this partnership enables the dental care of refugees in SESC units. Objective - We sought to identify how, in everyday life, refugees exiled in São Paulo show and report their care practices with their bodies and their health. Methodology Qualitative held in Portuguese language course for refugees at SESC, observations, interviews and examination of the oral cavity. Data analysis used the perspective of everyday life through the content analysis of the data. Results 11 refugees comprised the sample: 4 Congo, two from Nigeria, one from Guinea, Senegal, Togo, Libya and Syria. As for your everyday, some difficulties and put other, facilities in the resumption of routine. Within the categories of themes emerged: health and disease and their meanings, perception of health and illness; care practices with the body and health; practices of oral care. On examination there was a low prevalence of dental caries and gingivitis in the presence of all subjects. Conclusions By identifying the reports and attitudes of asylum seekers in the disease process and body care, we approach the realities of these subjects, seizing the agenda and meet their demands for health in light of their daily lives and their cultural diversities .
