diversas proposições seminais da ideia de geograficidade que, ao longo do século XX e início do XXI, surgiram no contexto brasileiro e europeu. Tal recorte centrou-se na perspectiva de que um conjunto restrito de autores deu diferentes interpretações e articulações para o termo em questão, servindo então como embasamento para seu uso pelos demais pesquisadores, geógrafos ou não, nas universidades brasileiras. Partiu-se da exploração teórica de seis autores fundamentais, sistematicamente citados pelos demais pesquisadores. O belga Paul Michotte, primeiro geógrafo a utilizar o termo geograficidade, ainda em 1921, articula-o no sentido de justificar, epistemologicamente, o sentido da existência de um objeto que possa ser denominado como propriamente geográfico, i.e., que possua geograficidade. Em 1952 o francês Eric Dardel utiliza o mesmo termo, agora para apontar uma característica ontológica da humanidade, qual seja, a geografia enquanto parte fundante do ser do homem. Segue-se e, em 1979, o também francês Yves Lacoste emprega o termo para designar o campo possível de atuação do geógrafo em seu determinado contexto histórico. Momento seguinte, desloca-se a pesquisa para o contexto brasileiro, onde aponta-se a utilização e popularização do termo geograficidade por Werther Holzer, no mesmo sentido daquele proposto por Eric Dardel em 1952. Posteriormente é Ruy Moreira quem utilizará o termo, também em um debate que aproxima a geografia da ontologia, mas agora considerando-o como a condição espacial do homem ou o modo espacial da existência do homem. Enfim, em Elvio Martins encontramos a geograficidade igualmente no campo da ontologia, mas agora considerando-a como o fundamento geográfico do homem. Observados estes seis universos teóricos, a presente pesquisa se desloca para o objetivo da observação dos modos como estas teses são articuladas pelos demais geógrafos e pesquisadores brasileiros. Para tanto levantou-se a produção bibliográfica de alguns notórios programas de pós-graduação em geografia, selecionados a partir do conceito CAPES, bem como de artigos publicados em periódicos científicos de geografia, selecionadas a partir da classificação Qualis-CAPES. A busca das produções realizou em ambiente virtual on-line a partir da palavra-chave geograficidade. Procedeu-se então com a sistematização da bibliografia encontrada, no afã da observação da adequação do sentido proposto pelo pesquisador para o uso da ideia de geograficidade, com o(s) autor(es) que fundamenta(m) esta articulação. De um modo geral o que pode ser observado é uma ampla permeabilidade do termo na geografia acadêmica brasileira, mas que ainda encontra profundos desencontros entre os usos propostos para o termo e os fundamentos teóricos que se articulam, apontando para uma ainda existente necessidade de se sistematizar os debates em torno das diferentes ideias de geograficidade que circulam, ao que a presente pesquisa espera dar sua parcela de contribuição.

The aim of the present research is to analyze the foundations and the development of the various seminal propositions of the idea of geographicity that, throughout the XX century and beginning of the XXI, appeared in the Brazilian and European context. This approach is centered in the perspective that a restricted set of authors gave different interpretations and articulations for the word at attention, serving as a basis for its use by other researchers, geographers or not, in Brazilian universities. It was based on the theoretical exploration of six fundamental authors, systematically quoted by the other researchers. The Belgian Paul Michotte, the first geographer to use the term geographicity in 1921, articulates it in order to justify, epistemologically, the meaning of the existence of an object that can be identified as geographic, i.e., that has geographicity. In 1952 the Frenchman Eric Dardel uses the same term to point out an ontological characteristic of humanity, that is, geography as a founding part of the being of man. In 1979 the also Frenchman Yves Lacoste used the term to designate the possible area of inquiry of the geographer in his particular historical context. Next, we move the research to the Brazilian context, where the use and popularization of the term geographicity by Werther Holzer, in the same sense as that proposed by Eric Dardel in 1952, is proposed. Subsequently it is Ruy Moreira who will use the term, also in a debate that approximates the geography of ontology, but now considering it as the spatial condition of man or the spatial mode of man's existence. Finally, in Elvio Martins we find geographicity also in the debate about ontology, but now considering it as the geographical foundation of man. Once these six theoretical universes were observed, the present research moves towards the objective of observing the ways in which these theses are articulated by other Brazilian geographers and researchers. For this reason the bibliographical production of some notorious postgraduate programs in geography were selected, based on the CAPES concept, as well as articles published in scientific journals selected from the Qualis-CAPES ranking. The search for the productions were carried out in online virtual environment having geographicity as keyword. We proceeded to systematize the bibliography found, in an effort to observe the appropriateness of the meaning proposed by the researcher for the use of the idea of geographicity, with the author(s) that underlies this articulation. In general, what can be observed is a broad permeability of the term in the Brazilian academic geography, but still finds deep disagreements between the uses proposed for the word and the theoretical foundations that are articulated, pointing to an even existing need to systematize the debates surrounding the different ideas of geographicity that circulate, to which the present research hopes to give its share of contribution.
