A historiografia sobre o Holocausto tem revelado, cada vez mais, que milhares de crianças judias foram separadas de suas famílias em consequência do Plano de Extermínio perpetrado pela Alemanha nazista e países colaboracionistas. A partir da implantação violenta de uma política de segregação, essas crianças foram tratadas como "seres inferiores" por sua raça, sem direito à vida. Como tais foram perseguidas, confinadas e torturadas em guetos, campos de trabalho e de extermínio, assim como os seus familiares. Apesar do amplo universo de publicações, raras são as pesquisas que têm se dedicado a reconstituir a trajetória dessas crianças e, em especial, aquelas que vieram para o Brasil. Suas vivências foram abaladas e, até mesmo, interrompidas pelas ações genocidas decorrentes da política antissemita adotada após a ascensão do Partido Nacional-Socialista e de Adolf Hitler ao poder em 1933 na Alemanha. A reconstituição da história dessas crianças depende, na maioria dos casos, do registro dos seus testemunhos que transformados em documentos/monumentos possibilitam a reflexão sobre as relações entre história e memória, o "eu" e o "nós". Essas narrativas podem nos ajudar a entender este fenômeno considerado por muitos sobreviventes e estudiosos do Holocausto como uma "barbárie indizível". Para o presente trabalho, selecionamos um conjunto de testemunhos de crianças que, radicadas no Brasil em companhia ou não de seus familiares, colocam-nos diante dos seus mundos, seus traumas, dores e alegrias. Para o registro sistemático dessas narrativas utilizamos o recurso da História Oral, compartilhado do acervo de entrevistas disponibilizado pelo Núcleo de Estudos Arqshoah/LEER-USP e outras instituições estrangeiras.

The historiography about the Holocaust has revealed, more and more, that thousands of Jewish children were separated from their families as a result of the Extermination Plan perpetrated by Nazi Germany and collaborationist countries. After the violent implementation of a segregation policy, these children were treated as "inferior beings" due to their race, without the right to life. As such, they were persecuted, confined and tortured in ghettos, labor and extermination camps, as well as their families. Despite the wide universe of publications, there are few researches dedicated to reconstructing the trajectory of these children and, in particular, those who came to Brazil. Their experiences were affected and even interrupted by the genocidal actions resulting from the anti-Semitic policy adopted after the rise of the National Socialist Party and Adolf Hitler to power in 1933 in Germany. The reconstruction of these children's history depends, in most cases, on the registering of their testimonies which, turned into documents / monuments, make it possible to reflect on the relationship between history and memory, the "I" and the "we". These narratives can help us understand this phenomenon considered by many Holocaust survivors and scholars as an "unspeakable barbarism". For the present work, we selected a set of testimonies from children who, living in Brazil with or without their family members, put us in front of their worlds, their traumas, pains and joys. For the systematic recording of these narratives, we used the Oral History resource sharing the collection of interviews made available by the Arqshoah / LEER-USP Study Center and other foreign institutions.
