Sendo a Amazônia, especificamente Amazonas e Pará, no século XIX e início do século XX um espaço onde se formou a maior comunidade judaica até então existente no Brasil, fruto da imigração de judeus africanos, mais precisamente do Nordeste da África, onde se situa o Marrocos, a presente tese, que se intitula "Abrindo a Porta do Céu: Solidariedades e tensões na formação das comunidades judaicas da Amazônia (Amazonas/Pará 1810-1920)" busca problematizar como essa comunidade judaica se formou em meio a solidariedades e tensões construídas por sujeitos que habitavam o espaço em questão e/ou para além deste. Neste caminho é necessário pensar que a temporalidade proposta é marcada por uma série de prerrogativas legais que advém da formação do Estado Brasileiro, e, que assim acaba por atrair muitos imigrantes. No primeiro capítulo, refletimos acerca da historiografia do tema e das circunstâncias que corroboram com a vinda dos judeus africanos; no segundo capítulo tratamos das sociabilidades, do encontro dos judeus consigo e com os outros; e, no terceiro capítulo, problematizamos as redes de narrativas que instituem o Judeu como o Outro, a partir de conceitos de etiquetamentos, rótulos e estigmas. Nosso percurso teórico se baseia na História Social, amparado em autores como Baron (1974), Bloch (2001), Carneiro (2014), Falbel (2008). Tendo como fontes primordiais periódicos e códices impressos do período temporal estudado, além de outros documentos escritos como cartas, fundos pessoais, revistas e fotografias. Metodologicamente, tais fontes foram pensadas por meio da análise do discurso, permitindo perceber as marcas que foram imputadas nos judeus, e resultaram em alteridades, etiquetamentos, rotulações e estigmas, no afã de refletir o quanto estas demarcações passam a fazer parte da identidade de um povo, que consequentemente passam a constituir a identidade do povo brasileiro

Since the Amazon, specifically Amazonas and Pará, in the 19th and early 20th centuries was a space where the largest Jewish community in Brazil was formed, as a result of the immigration of African Jews, more precisely from Northeast Africa, where the Morocco (onde hoje encontra-se o Marrocos? -> known as morocco today), this thesis, which is entitled "Opening the Door to Heaven: Solidarities and tensions in the formation of Jewish communities in the Amazon. (Amazonas/Pará 1810-1920)" seeks to (look after) problematize how this Jewish community was formed amid solidarities and tensions built by subjects who inhabited the space in question and/or beyond it. Along this path, it is necessary to think that the proposed temporality is marked by a series of legal prerogatives that arise from the formation of the Brazilian State, and which thus ends up attracting many immigrants. In the first chapter we reflect on the historiography of the theme and the circumstances that corroborate the arrival of African Jews, in the second chapter we deal with sociability, the encounter of Jews with themselves and with others and in the third chapter, we problematize the networks of narratives that establish the Jew as the Other, based on concepts of labels, labels and stigmas. Our theoretical path is based on Social History, supported by authors such as Baron (1974), Bloch (2001), Carneiro (2014), Falbel (2008). Having as primary sources printed periodicals and codices from the period studied, as well as other written documents such as letters, personal funds, magazines and photographs. Methodologically, such sources were designed through discourse analysis, allowing us to perceive the marks that were attributed to the Jews, and resulted in otherness, labeling, labeling and stigmas, in the desire to reflect how much these demarcations become part of the identity of a people, which consequently come to constitute the identity of the Brazilian people
