Concentração de lípides e apolipoproteína B no soro de cordão umbilical de recém-nascidos

Abstract in English
The plasmatic lipoproteins have great importance in the genesis of the atherosclerosis, and its concentration is dependent to both hereditary and environmental factors. To undestand the epidemiological impact of the plasmatic lipids in a determined population is necessary to know the evolution of the lipid profile since birth. This information in a brasilian population is virtually absent. To aiming in supling this gap, we analyze the lipid profile and plasmatic apo B concentration of both cord serum from 211 newborn (136 at term, 75 preterm) and its post partum's mother. We had the follow lipid profile (in mg/dL) in at term newborn: total cholesterol 60 ± 12, HDL-c 20 ± 10, LDL-c 31 ± 12, tryglicerides, 46 ± 30 and apo B 29 ± 8. In the pre term newborn, the values were: 86 ± 31, 27 ± 14, 47 ± 23, 40 ± 25 e 36±15 mg/dl, respectively. The total cholesterol, HDL-c, LDL-c and apo B concentration were higher in the pre term newborn than from at term newborn (p<0,05). We did not realize significant differences among variables, such as, gender, race and in the presence or not of diabetes and systemic arterial hyperthension's mother.
