Abstract in English
This research seeks to shed light on ways of contemporary artistic making from the perspective of the experience that is revealed when we read Tiergarten, a fragment (Berlin Child: 1900, 19321938), in which, through memory, Walter Benjamin (1892 1940) tries to retrace a usual route from his childhood through the park of the same name. The text works as a gateway to that context as well as the Benjaminian universe, enabling a tour of fundamental concepts and ideas from its repertoire, as well as his visionary diagnoses about modernity that are still present today. Starting from this multidimensional path and considering ideas of displacement and landscape, of the fusion between the fragment, its experience, and the place, in which the layers of historicity, memory, and imagination overlap and are woven into the experience, we propose to illuminate concepts such as dialectical image and aura, as well as ideas of flânerie, reminiscence, and history, in addition to the very idea of experience in Benjamin. Understand how these tensions act to create artistic expressivenessfrom the invisible to the visible. We investigate respective ways of doing things in the vast field of contemporary art using these foundations as operators. Through Benjaminian images of thought and the aesthetic possibilities linked to displacements and the apprehension of space, dialogues emerge whose reverberations we intend to reveal in languages, looking at works and/or processes, covering three contemporary artists: the Englishman Hamish Fulton (1946-), the Brazilians Juraci Dórea (1944- ), and Gustavo von Ha (1977- ), and debouch to the process off Déba Tacana (1988 )
