A técnica de excitação Coulombiana foi usada para estudar os núcleos ‘ANTPOT.187 Os’ e ‘ANTPOT.189 Os’. As probabilidades reduzidas de transcrições de quadrupolo elétrico, B(E2), foram medidas para as transições interbandas e intrabandas das bandas ‘3 POT.-‘/2 [512] e ‘1 POT.-‘/2 [510]. Os B(E2) experimentais foram comparados aos cálculos de B(E2) rotacional em que a interação de Coriolis foi elevada em conta. Também foram determinadas as B(E2) para excitação dos níveis que originam do acoplamento de uma quase-partícula com a vibração γ dos núcleos par-par vizinhos. Concluiu-se que, embora o modelo de Nilsson seja de grande valia na interpretação da estrutura desses núcleos, uma análise mais detalhada revela algumas limitações.

Coulomb excitation was used to study the nuclei ' The ANTPOT.187 Os ' and ' The ANTPOT.189 Os'. The reduced electric quadrupole transition probabilities, B ( E2 ), were measured for the interband and intraband transitions for the bands ' 3 POT .- ' / 2 [ 512 ] and ' 1 POT .- ' / 2 [ 510 ] . The experimental B (E2) values were compared to calculations of rotational B (E2) in which the Coriolis interaction was taken into account. The B (E2) values for excitation of levels which originate from the coupling of a quasi- particle with the γ vibration of neighboring even-even nuclei were also determined. It was concluded that, although the Nilsson model is of great value in the interpretation of the structure of these nuclei, a closer look reveals some limitations.
