A construção, ou obtenção de propriedades gerais, das trajetórias de Regge é um problema fundamental na formulação da teoria das interações fortes via matriz S. Embora o domínio natural dos polos de Regge seja o espalhamento a altas energias , as trajetórias de Regge, interpolando ressonâncias, classificadas em famílias, sugerindo um modo de levar um pouco de ordem ao caos produzido pela existência de um número enorme de ressonâncias. E claro, também, que o conhecimento das possíveis formas das trajetórias informa sôbre o espectro de massa das ressonâncias ou, no esquema da "democracia nuclear" de Chew, sôbre o espectro de massa de todos os hadrons.

The construction, or obtain general properties of Regge trajectories is a key issue in the formulation of the theory of strong interactions via S. matrix Although the natural field of Regge poles is spreading at high energies, the trajectories of Regge, interpolating resonances, classified in families, suggesting a way to bring some order to the chaos produced by the existence of a huge number of resonances. Of course, also, that knowledge of the possible ways the trajectories informs upon the mass spectrum of resonances or, in the scheme of "nuclear democracy" Chew, upon the mass spectrum of all hadrons.
