Keywords in Portuguese
ARENITO BAURU
GRANULOMETRIA DO SOLO

Abstract in English
Statistical parameters of 79 samples of soils, developed over the Bauru sandstone, was studied; 32 samples were of superficial horizons of Latosol dark red - sandy fase in 8 county; 19 in 3 profiles horizons of the Latosol red yellow - sandy fase in the Matão county, State of São Paulo; and 28, in 2 profiles horizons of the Regossol in São Carlos and Itirapina counties State of São Paulo. The statistical parameters were obtained from the fraction coarser than 4ϕ of each sample, determining the mean diameter, the standard deviation, the asymmetry and the Kurtose coefficient. Those parameters are interpreted as to the probable conditions that the deposition of the original sediments was effectuated and as to the uniformity of places where samples were collected for each Great Group of Soil.
