Apresenta-se neste trabalho uma abordagem de alguns aspectos importantes sobre a fissuração no concreto, tais como o controle dessa fissuração, além de comentários sucintos sobre os diversos fatores que nela influenciam. Faz-se uma análise estatística baseada em dados experimentais, através de regressão linear, para verificar a influência de alguns parâmetros na abertura das fissuras em vigas de seções transversais retangulares. E em função desta análise, propõe-se uma expressão empírica para previsão da abertura característica das fissuras. É também avaliada a aplicabilidade de algumas expressões já conhecidas, para verificar se elas são adequadas para previsão de aberturas de fissuras. Em seguida propõem-se melhoramentos em uma das expressões analisadas, através de ajustamento de curvas

In this work some important aspects on concrete cracking are pointed out, such as control of cracking, and summaries of several factors which influence the cracking. A statistical analysis is made based on experimental data, using linear regression, with the intention of verifying the influence of some parameters in the crack width of rectangular cross section beams. And due to this analysis, an empirical equation is proposed for the evaluation of characteristic crack width. The applicability of some already known equations is considered, in order to verify their adequation on crack width prevision. Improvements in one of the analysed equations are also proposed.
