Abstract in English
An experiment utilizing lettuce crops (Lactuca sativa ) Elisa variety, was conducted in tunneled greenhouse, in an área adjacent to the CRHEA Climatological Station (Center of Hydric and Ecological Resources - Engineering School of São Carlos, University of São Paulo) located at the Central Northen área of the State of SP at 22° 115 'S latitude and 22° 58 'W longitude, at an altitude of 733 meters. The region has CWB climate according to Koppen's classification, which means temperature climate due to high altitude, dry winter and low hydric deficiency. The objective of the research was to investigate the temporal and spacial standard variability and relative air humidity in a protected environment. Data was collected from August 31,1995 to September 27, 1995. Daily readings were gathered at six different times, alternating both reading position and height of observation. The results of the research allowed us to conclude the following: the use of plastic covering in crops permitted the formation of an environment which presented lack of spacial variability within the studied parameters at a given time; fluctuations of theses parameters between readings; high vertical temperature gradient, and high horizontal relative air humidity gradient.
