Abstract in English
The organic load and the chlorinated organic compounds generation reductíon related to the Chlorine substitutíon by Chlorine Dioxide, in kraft pulp bleaching sequences, hás been largely studied. The work here presents the true color, COD, AOX and acute toxicity reductíons in fíltrates from the chlorination and alkaline extraction stages, at Jari Celulose S.A., through the gradatíve Chlorine DÍoxide substitution.
