O presente estudo refere-se ao desenvolvimento de um programa de computador aplicável à resolução de treliças e pórticos espaciais pelo método matricial ou de elementos finitos, para computadores APPLE com, no mínimo, 64 K de RAM. O método FRONTAL foi utilizado para resolver o sistema de equações, pois admite uma melhor utilização da capacidade de armazenagem do disco, permitindo resolver problemas até 30 nós e 50 elementos. Este programa permite ainda, facilmente adaptações, mudando-se do tipo de elemento reticulado para outros elementos diferentes.

The present study refers to a computer program development applied to solve space trusses or frames structures trough the matrix or finite elements method for APPLE computers with 64 K RAM minimum. The FRONTAL method was used to solve the equations system which enable better utilization of the disk driver storage capability , allowing to solve problems with until 30 nodes and 50 elements. This program enable ones to switch the frames type structures for other different types easily.
