Bursts temporalmente correlacionados no Texas Helimak

Abstract in English
Turbulence in magnetically confined plasmas exhibits certain universal properties with the presence of coherent high-density structures, generically called bursts. These structures propagate convectively and, therefore, have a relevant impact on confinement. This dissertation seeks to study the time correlated bursts regime observed in a set of shots in the Texas Helimak and the main goal is to evaluate the repeatability of this phenomenon and its phenomenological description based on simulations with Stochastic Pulse Train Model (SPTM) modified to consider the correlation in time between bursts. It is stated that PDF of time interval between main bursts follows a gamma distribution with parameter of shape, k, and scale, s, which relate to the time interval between successive pulses,, by = ks with variance V = ks^2. In order to find an estimation of the value k, an equation developed in reference article (PEREIRA et al., 2019) has been used in a non-linear fit on the histogram of time interval between successive bursts. But its been observed that the model of equation is not completed which leads to biased results. As a mean to better estimate the k value, a fitting process with two steps was developed in this work and it was able to reproduce some results found in the reference article.
