Nesta dissertacao damos um tratamento unificado aos algoritmos de classificacao do tipo tdidt (top down induction of decision trees), incluindo o tratamento de atributos reais. A seguir propomos tecnicas para utilizar esses algoritmos na avaliacao e decisao de estrategias de aplicacao no mercado financeiro. Os resultados sao verdadeiramente encorajadores e motivam varias linhas para futuro desenvolvimento
