A literatura no campo da Saúde tem discutido a importância da abordagem intersetorial para a prevenção das violências contra os jovens, dentre as quais, os homicídios. Ainda que seja reconhecida a importância da prevenção, ela permanece sendo um desafio sobre o qual pouco se tem avançado no sentindo de formulação e implementação de estratégias de enfrentamento, inclusive no Brasil, país das Américas que apresenta uma das maiores taxas de mortalidade entre este grupo populacional. O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar e discutir as possibilidades e os limites para a efetivação da intersetorialidade - no que pese a complexidade da articulação de atores, interesses, saberes e propostas - a partir do estudo do Comitê Paulista pela Prevenção de Homicídios na Adolescência (CPPHA) no estado de São Paulo, que reuniu diferentes Secretarias, Instituições de Justiça e sociedade civil. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa que empregou a técnica do estudo de caso, tendo como instrumentos para para coleta de dados: entrevistas, observação participante, diário de campo e análise de documentos. Os resultados demonstraram a existência de entraves para a efetivação do trabalho intersetorial no CPPHA, diante da fragmentação dos temas, da falta de mecanismos que favorecessem maior articulação entre os setores e da setorização presente nas duas principais iniciativas do Governo, constituídas pelo CPPHA. Ações e estratégias intersetoriais devem possuir instrumentos de garantia para a articulação dos setores, definindo claramente as responsabilidades dos envolvidos. Além disso, é preciso estabelecer pactuações entre os três Poderes (Executivo, Legislativo e Judiciário), sob pena de não ser possível o estabelecimento de leis e políticas desta natureza

The literature in the field of Health has discussed the importance of an intersectoral approach to preventing violence against young people, including homicides. Even though the importance of prevention is recognized, it remains a challenge on which little progress has been made in terms of formulating and implementing coping strategies, including in Brazil, a country in the Americas that has one of the highest mortality rates among this populational group. The objective of this work was to analyze and discuss the possibilities and limits for the implementation of intersectionality - despite the complexity of the articulation of actors, interests, knowledge and proposals - based on the study of the Comitê Paulista pela Prevenção de Homicídios na Adolescência (CPPHA) in the state of São Paulo, which brought together different Secretariats, Justice Institutions and civil society. This is a qualitative research that used the case study technique, using the following instruments for data collection: interviews, participant observation, field diary and document analysis. The results demonstrated the existence of obstacles to the implementation of intersectoral work in the CPPHA, given the fragmentation of themes, the lack of mechanisms that favour greater coordination between sectors and the sectorization present in the two main Government initiatives, constituted by the CPPHA. Intersectoral actions and strategies must have guarantee instruments for the coordination of sectors, clearly defining the responsibilities of those involved. Moreover, it is necessary to establish agreements between the three Powers (Executive, Legislative and Judiciary); otherwise, it will not be possible to establish laws and policies of this nature
