Abstract in English
Considering that many students suffer from a lack of creativity when solving problems, research is being conducted on different ways to address this issue in order to seek the benefits of such actions through the Polya method. To do so, it is necessary to understand a bit of Polyas history and his method, discuss the problem-solving process and its benefits, present the necessary theory for the understanding of the problems that will be presented, and apply Polyas method to problems with more than one solution. In light of this, it is observed that solving the same problem in different ways enhances the students creativity, increases understanding of mathematics as a whole, and establishes correlations between disciplines, greatly expanding the chances of solving future problems. This leads to the realization that solving problems in different ways brings various benefits. Therefore, it is crucial for more teachers to adopt problem-solving as a teaching method and to be well-prepared to listen to and discuss different resolutions and perspectives. It is also necessary for the teacher to conduct a thorough assessment, administering tests that do not include, among other characteristics, tricky questions or excessively long statements without purpose.
