A presente dissertação de mestrado tem como objetivo central analisar e compreender o trabalho dos entregadores de plataformas digitais na metrópole de São Paulo, que utilizam a bicicleta como instrumento de trabalho. Para compreender as novas morfologias do trabalho, como é o caso da chamada uberização ou plataformização do trabalho, retomamos os processos de transformação do modo de produção capitalista, desde o período chamado fordista até o momento em que a reestruturação produtiva do capital condiciona à uma produção que chamaremos de flexível, no período neoliberal. Através da análise das dinâmicas de trabalho e deslocamento dos entregadores, principalmente pela empresa Ifood, pudemos compreender como se dá a cadeia de produção, circulação e consumo da mercadoria oferecida nos aplicativos de delivery - as refeições - no e pelo espaço urbano produzido como mercadoria, cujo conteúdo é a segregação socioespacial. A precarização do trabalho através da transferência de custos e responsabilidades para o trabalhador, bem como a flexibilização de leis trabalhistas que permitem o trabalho sem vínculo empregatício, portanto, sem direitos ou garantias, é reforçada pela gestão algorítmica do trabalho que opera de modo a garantir mecanismos que obrigam o entregador a ser cada vez mais produtivo. Ao mesmo tempo, as empresas se apoiam em discursos neoliberais que disseminam as ideias de empreendedorismo, meritocracia e liberdade para dissimular os conteúdos da exploração. Como contraponto, também analisamos as dinâmicas de trabalho de entregadores que buscam fugir da lógica dos aplicativos de delivery, revelando outras possibilidades e desafios. A pesquisa contou com dois trabalhos de campo, um direcionado para a própria pesquisa, especificamente, que contou com nove entrevistas qualitativas semi-estruturada de entregadores e outro realizado com outros pesquisadores por meio do projeto Zonas cinzentas e território: transformações do trabalho e das condições de vida urbana dos trabalhadores de plataforma: contrapontos e aproximações - Edital de Apoio a Projetos Integrados de Pesquisa em Áreas Estratégicas (PIPAE), que entrevistou de forma mais quantitativa, cerca de 200 entregadores. Como resultado, pudemos revelar a precarização como conteúdo do trabalho, reforçado pela segregação socioespacial, articulando a relação entre espaço urbano e o trabalho por plataformas digitais

The main objective of this master's thesis is to analyze and understand the labor of digital platform delivery workers in the metropolis of São Paulo, who use bicycles as a work tool. To understand the new morphologies of labor, as is the case of the so-called uberization or platformization of work, we revisit the transformations process of the capitalist mode of production, from the so-called fordist period until the moment when the productive restructuring of capital conditions a production that we will call flexible, in the neoliberal period. Through the analysis of the labor dynamics and movement of delivery workers, mainly by the company Ifood, we were able to understand how the chain of production, circulation and consumption of the merchandise offered on delivery apps - meals - takes place in and through the urban space produced as merchandise, whose content is socio-spatial segregation. The precariousness of work through the transfer of costs and responsibilities to the worker, as well as the flexibilization of labor laws that allow labor without an employment relationship, therefore, without rights or guarantees, is reinforced by the algorithmic management of labor that operates in order to guarantee mechanisms that force the delivery workers to be increasingly productive. At the same time, companies rely on neoliberal discourses that disseminate the ideas of entrepreneurship, meritocracy and freedom to disguise the content of exploitation. As a counterpoint, we also analyzed the labor dynamics of delivery workers who seek to escape the logic of delivery apps, revealing other possibilities and challenges. The research included two fieldworks, one directed towards the research itself, specifically, which included nine semi-structured qualitative interviews with delivery workers and the other carried out with other researchers through the project Gray zones and territory: transformations of work and urban living conditions of platform workers: counterpoints and approximations - Notice of Support for Integrated Research Projects in Strategic Areas (PIPAE), which interviewed, in a more quantitative way, around 200 delivery workers. As a result, we were able to reveal precariousness as a content of labor, reinforced by socio-spatial segregation, articulating the relationship between urban space and labor through digital platforms
