Abstract in English
Considering the necessity to optimize and to increase the useful life of the accumulators of energy in small solar home systems, the present work presented the evaluation and the comparison of the functioning of the different charge and discharge control strategies, namely "self-regulated" PV module control, PWM control and On/Off control, during a period of 14 months. The energy balance of the systems and the results of the capacity tests, before and after the period of the experiment, of the accumulators submitted to the distinct strategies are presented. Additionally, it is presented the tests and results obtained in the evaluation of the setpoints low voltage disconnect and reconnect, DBT and RBT, of five commercial solar charge controllers.
